About CrowdVine

CrowdVine is a privately owned software company founded in 2007 by Tony Stubblebine. Our goal is to enhance people's lives through social software.

We have two products:

Principals

Tony Stubblebine, Founder/CEO
Before CrowdVine, Tony was part of the Wesabe launch team, director of engineering at Odeo, a leading podcasting startup and the creators of Twitter, and lead engineer for O'Reilly Media. He wrote the Regular Expression Pocket Reference, blogs regularly at Stubbleblog, and runs the IHeartQuotes robot on Twitter.

Jay Laney, Lead Engineer
Before CrowdVine, Jay was on the engineering team at Wesabe and was the lead engineer for O'Reilly Media where he led blogging, community, and integration projects for their online team. This is the third time Jay and Tony have worked together.

The Crew

Chris Cranley is our part-time account manager and a major factor in keeping the trains running on time and our customers happy. Speaking of running, Chris is training for his second marathon and running out of time before the birth of his first child. Chris has a strong background in operations, sales, and account services at both Sun and Cisco.

Michelle Koumarianos is our part time web producer and is responsible for making our networks look like your existing website.

Kellan Elliott-McCrea is the co-creator of the open source icalico project, which forms the base of our calendar feature. He's also a project manager at Flickr. He blogs at Laughing Meme.

Evan Henshaw-Plath is the co-creator of the open source icalico project, which forms the base of our calendar feature. He's a free-lance Ruby on Rails consultant, author, and conference speaker. He blogs at Anarchogeek.

Neatworks, Inc. is our design firm of choice. They are responsible for many parts of the CrowdVine design and are our preferred partner when building custom social networks.

Sarah Milstein is Tony's partner, former Managing Editor of O'Reilly's Missing Manual series, founder of the Tools of Change for Publishing conference, co-organizer of the Web2Open unconference, and a second year student at the Berkeley HAAS MBA program. She's a CrowdVine advisor, writes some of our copy, and is a minor investor. Tony and Sarah have a dog named Eggs.
